The challenge: Agricultural fields require complex irrigation systems, which spread out over large areas and contain many water pipes. Our challenge was to build a wireless control mechanism for an irrigation system, which allows not only control, but also collecting data and monitoring its activity.
Our professional solution: Our team developed a unique wireless system for monitoring and irrigation of agricultural fields. The system is continuously connected to the control center, and allows opening and closing irrigation pipes at different points, and to report the amount of water that passed through those parts.
Technical specifications: We constructed a system that uses wireless communication using LORA protocol. We wrote embedded software in IAR IDE work environment on a STM32 processor, and we also wrote embedded software for a TI CC2640 processor for the purpose of BOOTLOADING over BLE. We also performed system integration and designed the test jigs used during manufacturing.
