The challenge: Removing hair from the body can be a painful process. Our challenge was to develop a system that removes hair without any pain, and to be energy efficient.
Our professional solution: We developed an electro-mechanical system which is designed specifically for the aesthetic medical field of personal-home use. The system is energetically economic, powered by a transformer or battery, and can recharge the battery independently.
Technical specifications: The electronic design was based on an ATMEGA32U4 processor by ATMEL, that includes a charging circuit for a multi-cell Li-ion battery, and drivers for a motor and for solenoids. We constructed a 4 layer PCB board, assembled the components on the board, performed board bring-up tests and wrote the embedded software.
